Motion design helps guide users, giving context and providing clues on how to best navigate. But it hasn’t always been easy to integrate this new field into established UX design workflows.

The project got killed, but I had a blast

During the development of RubberHose, I got an amazing request for illustrating and animating Elvis and his influence on dance throughout history. The project was ultimately killed by the client and I've just been cleared to show it.

The first Battle Axe tool. It's still an industry favorite

This special 9 Squares round was created as part of onedotzero’s event. For this round, each square was composed of a deconstructed version of the #dotdotdot branding: circles, dots, and lines in black and white.

Hair rig

Proof of concept for an element in a character rig. Been playing around with .valueAtTime() for creating motion delays and waves and wanted to see if it could work for hair.

7 is a pretty crazy number that appears to have a strong significance in most religions (as well as being the defining trait of the main religion in Westeros).

While exploring the geometric construction of an equilateral triangle I accidentally found the Deathly Hallows.

I’ve been playing around with geometric constructions lately (compass and ruler). It’s easy to take for granted how the computer draws shapes, and it’s pretty incredible how all these things are interconnected.

The isometric view in the previous file made it tough to see what what going on. As did the uniform styling of all the interior lines. The few merits of this technique are: interior lines, multiple styles on strokes and shapes at vertices.

Exploring some of the possibilities of a flattened platonic solid and the sacred geo it produces. Vertex data generated in C4D sent to AE to drop in shape layer strokes.
