Bend settings

RubberHose does not use traditional IK and does not use externally created art. Everything is generated with ShapeLayers and uses a custom system for bending. Instead of a complex array of bones and joints you only have to worry about the length of the Hose. If a Hose is longer than the distance between the two endpoints it will bend. The system is intuitive and kind of just works.

Here are a few of the settings that can be adjusted and keyframed to give you the most flexibility while animating. Bend direction can be changed smoothly and Hoses can be stretched (and the end controllers will actually change color when you stretch beyond the defined length).
